Submitted by Duncan Menge on August 31, 2007

Yummy fish dish.

Ingredients

  • ½ c soy sauce (make sure it's gluten-free, some isn't)
  • ½ c water
  • 1 T sugar
  • 3-5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 t grated fresh ginger
  • 1 T sesame oil
  • 1 lb High-quality tuna, halibut, or salmon (Alaskan wild is best for halibut or salmon)

Directions

Step 1

Mix together marinade.

Step 2

Marinate fish (or chicken) for at least 2 hours (in fridge if for more than 3 hours).

Step 3

For tuna, grill outside or pan sear on each side for a couple minutes on medium to medium-high heat.

Step 4

For halibut or salmon, grill outside or put the fish in the oven cold, then turn the oven on to 450º (bake), basting every ten minutes with marinade until done (usually takes us ~15 minutes total).
