Brisket & Beans
Good, hearty winter dish.
Ingredients
- 2 lb. corned beef brisket
- 1 pkg. dried navy beans
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tblsp. molasses
- 2 tsp. French's Spicy Brown Mustard
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- Spice packet included with corned beef (optional)
Directions
- Step 1
Soak beans overnight in cold water.
- Step 2
Drain beans and cover with fresh water, heat to boiling, and drain.
- Step 3
Place meat, beans, and sliced onions in roasting pan.
- Step 4
Mix remaining ingredients with one cup boiling water, and pour over meat.
- Step 5
Bake (covered) at 250 degrees for six hours.
- Step 6
Uncover and bake one hour longer.
