Roasted Garlic Butter

When you are really craving some good comfort food, this is great on a freshly cooked ear of sweet corn or even on your favorite GF toasted bread.

Ingredients

  • Whipped Butter (1 tub)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • one head of garlic
  • olive oil

Directions

Step 1

preheat oven to 400 degrees F

Step 2

Cut off bottom 1/4 of the garlic.

Step 3

Place garlic in the center of a small sheet of aluminum foil, enough to wrap around garlic head.

Step 4

Pour olive oil over garlic, wrap with foil and roast in oven for 60 minutes.

Step 5

Garlic should be soft when you remove it from the oven.

Step 6

Peel back foil and let cool until you can handle it.

Step 7

Pull garlic head apart and squeeze the garlic out of the cloves into a small bowl.

Step 8

Allow to cool till warm to the touch.

Step 9

Mash roasted garlic paste with a fork, mix with butter, salt and pepper and mix until combined.
