CrockPot Spaghetti Sauce
Hide the veggies from your children and honey with this one! Kids clamor for more, guests want your recipe and it's a breeze to cook! Start it in the morning and come home to a wonderful smell.
Freeze the extras for a quick dinner later. Can also be used for lasagna sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 2 cans tomato paste
- 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 1.5 lbs fresh sausage (we get ours at the butcher shop)
- 1 small red onion
- 4 cloves garlic diced or 2 TB garlic
- 1 bag frozen spinach
- 4 carrots grated
- 1 zucchini grated
- .5 lb diced mushrooms
- 1 can sliced olives
- 1/4 tsp anise seed*
- 1/2 tsp basil*
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp majoram*
- 1/4 tsp thyme*
- 1/4 tsp rosemary*
- OR 1 1/2 tsp premade Italian seasoning
Directions
- Step 1
Make sure the sausage is either in meatballs or smooshed into the sauce as fine as possible for meat sauce.
- Step 2
Add All the ingredients
- Step 3
Stir well
- Step 4
Cook for 4 hours on Med
- Step 5
Cook for 6-8 on Low
- Step 6
Add 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning, stir, then serve with your favorite GF pasta.
